Terms of Sale and Licence Agreement

Version 2026-10-25. These terms apply when you download, try, buy or use CourseForge.

1. Who we are

CourseForge is sold by [Legal business name] ([proprietorship / partnership / company]), [registered address], India ("VSBF Labs", "we"). Contact: contact page. [GSTIN: if registered.]

2. What you buy

• Licence, not ownership. You buy a licence to use CourseForge, not the software itself. All rights not expressly granted remain with us and our licensors.
• Term: 3 years from the date of purchase. Renewal adds 3 years to the same licence key.
• One computer at a time, for one person (you, or one named user at your organisation). You may move the licence to another computer by deactivating it on the old one, or through Licence help.
• Price: as shown on the buy page at the time of purchase, [inclusive of all applicable taxes, including GST]. Payment is processed by Razorpay.
• Delivery: digital. Your licence key is shown immediately after payment and emailed to you. See Delivery.

3. Free trial

A free 7-day trial with all features (review links: 2) is available once per computer. It needs the internet once to start. When it ends, CourseForge stops editing and publishing; your courses remain on your computer and can always be exported.

4. When a licence or trial ends

CourseForge continues to open and lets you export all your courses, but not edit, generate media or publish. Review links you already created keep working for reviewers, subject to section 8. We will never delete your courses from your computer.

5. What you may not do

• Share, sell, rent or publish your licence key, or let others use it on their computers.
• Bypass, disable or tamper with licensing, trial limits or update protection; or decompile or modify CourseForge, except as permitted by law.
• Use CourseForge or review links for unlawful, infringing, defamatory or harmful content.

6. Your content and AI features

• You own your courses and the text, images and audio you create. We claim no rights in them.
• Narration and images are generated by AI models on your computer. AI output can be inaccurate, unexpected or similar to existing works: review all generated content before using it. You are responsible for your courses and how you use them.
• The optional fast online image mode is provided by a third party (Pollinations), only if you switch it on; its terms apply to that service.
• CourseForge includes open-source components and downloads AI models under their own licences (listed in the app's third-party notices).

7. Updates and the Windows warning

• CourseForge checks our server for updates while your licence or trial is valid, and installs an update only when you choose to. Every update is verified with our signing key before installation (how this works).
• CourseForge is not code-signed with a commercial certificate. Windows may therefore show "Windows protected your PC" or a similar warning when you install it. We explain this openly on the Security & updates page.

8. Online services

Licensing, updates and review links depend on our servers. We aim to keep them available but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Review links may be removed [12] months after your licence ends, or if they breach these terms, and storage per licence may be limited to [a reasonable amount].

9. Refunds

See our Refund and Cancellation Policy. When a refund is issued, the licence key stops working.

10. Warranty and liability

Please use the free trial to check CourseForge suits your needs and computer. CourseForge is provided with reasonable care and skill but otherwise "as is": we do not promise it is error-free or suitable for every purpose. To the extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the licence in the 12 months before the claim, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including lost data, profits or business. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 or other law that cannot be excluded. Keep backups of important work (CourseForge can export your courses at any time).

11. Ending the licence

You may stop using CourseForge at any time. We may end a licence that is used in serious breach of section 5, after notice where reasonable. On ending, section 4 applies.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms for future purchases and renewals; the version you accepted applies to your purchase. Material changes will be announced on this website.

13. Complaints, law and disputes

Contact our Grievance Officer (support@vsbflabs.in) first: we acknowledge complaints within 48 hours and aim to resolve them within one month. These terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts at [city] have jurisdiction, without affecting your right to approach a consumer commission.
